1. Who we are
The Corporate Chai is an early-stage startup run as a side hustle. As of now, we are not an officially registered company. Our monthly revenue is currently below the taxable threshold, so we do not fall under any tax slab and are not a registered taxpayer at this time. We operate fully remotely, and services are delivered digitally, primarily over WhatsApp.
2. Our services
We provide resume writing and rewriting, ATS-friendly resume templates, LinkedIn and Naukri profile optimisation guides, a free ATS score checker, premium-tool access, certification prep, and related digital career services. Descriptions and pricing on this site are indicative and may change without notice.
3. How our ATS score works — our own 6-pillar tool
Our ATS score is generated by our own in-house tool built by The Corporate Chai, which evaluates a resume across six pillars:
- Parseability & Contact
- Section Structure
- Content Quality & Impact
- Keywords & Skills
- Formatting & ATS Safety
- Readability
Importantly, there is no official, central or universal benchmark for an "ATS score" or for whether a resume is "ATS-friendly". Every website and tool uses its own logic and scoring model — and so do we. Our score, and our definition of "ATS-friendly", is based entirely on the six pillars above and our own logic. It is provided for guidance only and is not an official certification or industry-standard rating.
4. What "ATS-friendly" means from us
A good-looking resume may not be ATS-friendly, and a plain-looking resume may be perfectly ATS-friendly — it depends heavily on how each recruiter and each ATS is configured and used. There is no official authority anywhere that certifies a resume as ATS-friendly or not.
When we describe a resume as "ATS-friendly", we mean it is ATS-friendly as per our own making, our team and the logic of our in-house Corporate Chai ATS tool (the six pillars above) — not against any external or official standard.
5. Resumes & templates — how orders work
We create your resume based on the sample/model you select from our listing, along with any additional customisations you request that may not be shown in the sample. The template previews shown on our site are for showcase only; many designs are referenced from Canva and their display rights belong to Canva wherever applicable. We do not sell Canva files — when you order, we design a fresh resume for you in the style of the selected model and deliver that.
6. Pricing
- Each resume is charged at ₹199 for a single page; if content exceeds one page, additional pages cost extra (₹199 applies per single page).
- The ₹199* resume rewrite applies to one selected template/format only — not to multiple formats or other designs.
- Photo-based resumes start from ₹250 (not ₹199), due to added design complexity. The applicable price is informed and agreed with you before we start.
- We build all types of resumes, including global / international formats, on request — charges vary by complexity and format, as per the agreement made on WhatsApp or any mode of communication.
- Prices shown with a * are "starting from" and may vary; work begins only once the price is agreed. Other services are priced as listed and may change.
7. Quality & revisions
If you have a genuine quality issue with your delivered resume, we will provide one free reiteration (revision) to address it.
Every resume we deliver is ATS-friendly as per our own making and logic, as described in sections 3 and 4.
8. Local & non-tech jobs
For many local jobs, and some non-tech roles, an ATS may not be used at all. In those cases we focus on a clean, professional, well-formatted resume regardless of ATS score — and what we deliver is still ATS-friendly as per our team and our in-house logic.
9. No guarantee of outcomes
Our services are designed to help you get noticed, shortlisted and better prepared — but we do not guarantee that you will receive interview calls, secure a job, or be able to switch roles or companies (100% or otherwise). Career outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your experience, market demand, competition, salary expectations, and each employer's and recruiter's decisions. Any company names shown as social proof are organisations our clients have interviewed with or been shortlisted at, and do not imply any endorsement, affiliation or partnership.
10. Payments, billing & delivery
To begin a resume rewrite or modify order, you pay the full agreed amount or a 50% advance — work starts only after payment (no payment, no start). Paid services are confirmed over WhatsApp and typically delivered within 24–48 hours unless stated otherwise. We share a watermarked draft for your confirmation before final delivery, and you receive both editable and PDF files. After delivery is confirmed, you get one edit request within 24 hours; changes after that are treated as a new paid request. Premium-tool and third-party offerings are subject to availability.
Every paid order gets a bill — a payment invoice and/or a delivery bill, as applicable (including ad-hoc orders). We keep a basic billing record (name, phone number, transaction ID) securely in-house for 6 months, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your bills and reference information are held under enforced security controls (encryption, antivirus, restricted access), and we take accountability for protecting them from breach.
If an advance is paid but the order isn't completed:
- If you review the draft but then stop responding and do not complete payment, we reserve the right to contact you across multiple channels until we receive your confirmation.
- If you do not confirm or complete payment, the 50% advance is non-refundable, and the balance remains payable as originally agreed.
- On full payment we issue a delivery receipt (as applicable).
- We never spam or harass — but we reserve the right to hold you to the agreed commitment, beginning with a first written warning by email or phone. If there is still no response, we may pursue the matter only through lawful, approved channels.
11. Refunds
All refund requests are subject to review by our team and are considered on a case-by-case basis.
- No refund for quality concerns — the scope is agreed upfront, based on your requirement and the selected template/format.
- Even so, we include one free change request to address genuine quality issues.
- Refunds are never provided for outcome-based concerns (e.g. not receiving interview calls or not switching roles/companies), because we do not guarantee those outcomes.
- A refund may only ever apply where a paid service was not delivered at all, or clearly not to the agreed standard after the free change.
12. Intellectual property & template rights
Template designs shown are for showcase and reference; where a design is derived from Canva, the associated display and design rights remain with Canva. We deliver an original resume created for you in the selected style. You are responsible for the accuracy of the content you provide, and you retain ownership of your own personal information and finished resume.
13. Acceptable use & no defamation
You agree to provide accurate information and to use our tools and community respectfully. We may remove members who spam, harass, or misuse the community or services.
No false allegations or defamation. No competitor, individual or entity has the right to make false allegations against, or to defame, The Corporate Chai in any way — digitally, on social media, offline, or via comments anywhere. Any such act may lead us to file for defamation. If you have a genuine concern, please raise it with us directly and, if unresolved, proceed through lawful legal channels — not through allegations or attempts to defame.
14. Your consent
By visiting this website and voluntarily sharing your information with us, you confirm that you consent to providing the required information and to our using it for the purpose for which it was shared, in line with our Privacy Policy.
- Any personal information (PII) that appears in your resume is provided by you in your request and shared with your consent, only to deliver the service you opted for.
- By contacting us on WhatsApp — including via our ads — you are deemed to agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy by default. Our WhatsApp greeting also invites you to visit the site and review all terms.
15. Our commitments & disclaimers
We align our privacy practices with the principles of ISO/IEC 27701:2019 (PIMS) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 — self-aligned, not officially certified. We are fully transparent: we never push you to buy additional services, and we never spam or harass you.
- Promotional figures. Any numbers we show (e.g. "1000+ interview calls", "resumes done") are for promotional purposes, based on feedback received from clients. We do not maintain exact tracking of these figures and are not obliged to provide such data or proof to anyone.
- Logos & social proof. Company names/logos shown are not endorsements and are not recognised or verified by any of those enterprises — they reflect client feedback only.
- Client confidentiality. We never share client information with anyone, and hold no liability in this regard.
- Regulatory readiness. As of now we are not audit-ready; once we are, we intend to apply for formal certification. Until then, our alignment is self-declared.
